Every donated item helps us stretch our resources further so we can serve more people across Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu.

Our list is updated regularly so you can be confident your gift supports our most urgent and ongoing needs. 

Common wishlist items include: 

  • Gift cards to select vendors for supply procurement  
  • Shelf-stable foods for emergency meal kits 
  • Hygiene and personal care items 
  • Pet food for our companion animal program 
  • Cleaning supplies 
  • Office and program supplies

Donate Items Directly

If you prefer to purchase or gather items on your own, we gratefully accept new or gently used supplies that support our clients and our day-to-day operations.  

Popular in-kind donation needs will vary weekly, but may include: 

  • Hygiene products (soap, shampoo, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.) 
  • Shelf-stable foods for supplemental nutrition (oatmeal, soup, etc.)  
  • Cleaning supplies (disinfecting wipes, paper towels, dish soap, gloves) 
  • Office supplies (printer paper, pens, file folders, postage) 
  • Pet supplies (cat/dog food, treats, leashes) 
  • Holiday gifts and seasonal care-package items for seniors

Tax Information for In-Kind Donations

Meals on Wheels West is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Most in-kind contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donors are responsible for determining the value of donated goods. A donation receipt can be provided by contacting development@mealsonwheelswest.org.
